Why I do it
These pieces sit on somewhat unsteady ground. Originally rooted in the bedrock that is a functional pot, they have migrated to territory incognito. I like that they have taken on a life of their own, gone off exploring like any kiwi on their big O.E. to find themselves. Not all return. Most were never destined to greatness but provided a delight to the eyes for a while. Occasionally a pot will morph back into the functional territory, reclaiming the steady rock and add greatly to my repertoire of functional forms.
